Randwick Tips & Previews, Saturday 5th February

The running of the Eskimo Prince is the headline act Randwick as the BetDeluxe crew find all the best bets on the 10-race card.

The running of the Eskimo Prince will set up the Sydney Autumn Carnival for the star three-year-old gallopers and it set to take all the headlines on Saturday.

The BetDeluxe team has found the best bets through what is going to be another enormous day of racing is Sydney.

randwick race 1

#5 lady laguna

As professional a two-year-old filly as they come.

Lady Laguna will bounce towards the lead, travel strongly and attempt to gain an unassailable lead into the home straight.

She is fit and knows what winning is all about.

Suggested Bet: Lady Laguna win at $2.80

randwick race 2

#2 commando hunt

Have taken a liking to the two trials Commando Hunt has put in prior to resuming in this Class 3 Highway.

Last time he was first-up into a campaign her start a $9 shot when finishing only a couple of lengths of Sunrise Ruby.

Getting double the price now and he seems to be wound up enough to win.

Suggested Bet: Commando Hunt each-way at $21 the win and $6 the place.

randwick race 3

#5 icecrusher

Should be able to elevate from a great first-up run over 1400 metres.

There was specking for her in the market when she resumed and was only beaten in a photo finish.

Kerrin Mcevoy is booked and getting up to the mile will only suit her better.

Suggested Bet: Icecrusher each-way at $9 the win and $3 the place

randwick race 4

#4 emanate

A few of the favourites have some serious question marks over their form credentials and as a result we will side with Emanate.

She is yet to win a race first-up in any campaign, but James McDonald being booked to ride is a big alarm bell telling us she is revved up to win.

McDonald will camp in behind what looks to be a fast lead speed and can finish over the top of them with one run.

Suggested Bet: Emanate each-way at $9 the win and $3.70 the place.

randwick race 5

#5 through irish eyes

Do not mind backing these resuming stayers first-up over 1600 metres.

His trials have been fantastic leading into this and he was given his head in his most recent 1200-metre spin around Warwick Farm where he won by a length.

He is thriving at the moment and can run a big race as he gets set to target bigger events over further distances.

Suggested Bet: Through Irish Eyes win at $4.8

randwick race 6

#14 paris dior

A real progressive type of two-year-old filly who broke her maiden status last start with a brilliant showing of sustained speed.

She has a lovely turn of foot and good early gate speed that will assist her from the wide barrier.

Any elevation on her winning maiden effort will see her very hard to beat.

Suggested Bet: Paris Dior win at $3.6

randwick race 7

#7 joviality

Put some really poor form behind her with a great resuming run.

She finished second behind Rule of Law as her fitness, or lack thereof, just gave way late in the race.

James McDonald should be able to help her go on with it here as she is two from two at this distance range and will only elevate on what she did last start.

Suggested Bet: Joviality win at $3.4

randwick race 8

#4 paulele

Is blessed with a cracking turn of foot that can easily blow this field away.

He will very likely be fit enough to win this race first-up after a very solid 900-metre trial at Randwick.

This colt is undefeated at Randwick having raced here four times for four wins.

Kerrin Mcevoy takes the reigns and will get the run of the race from barrier five.

Suggested Bet: Paulele win at $2.10

randwick race 9

#13 silent impact

Pretty simple tactics for Tim Clark here; find the front and do not relinquish the lead.

He was raced with cover at his first-up run, but with an inside barrier combined with the light weight and getting up in distance, Clark should be able to get the lead.

Ready to make it two from this campaign.

Suggested Bet: Silent Impact win at $2.7

randwick race 10

#2 purple sector

Gets an important weight swing in his favour against Through The Cracks.

He started much shorter than that horse when they went head to head last start and now we are getting double the price.

Hugh Bowman sticking is a sign this horse can turn the tables on the current favourite.

Suggested Bet: Purple Sector each-way at $6 the win and $2.2 the place.
